Connie has been working with RAMP for five years. She is the mother of two girls. Brianna is a junior in college, and Allyson is an 8th grader in Jr. High school. Connie’s daughter Ally has had speech and hearing issues since birth. Working with the school district to provide Ally with the appropriate services has allowed Ally to excel in school. Connie is excited to partner with parents to assist them in learning the intricacies of the IEP and special education processes to ensure their child has the best education. Connie also looks forward to being a resource for the educators in Freeport District 145.

Description:	John Roope, Director of Early Childhood Mental Health Services in Quincy Illinois presents How to Stay Out of Power Struggles with children. His presentation offers practical strategies and language for diffusing and preventing power struggles while building relationships with children. Help children become partners in the process of learning to control their own behavior. This program is ideal for teachers, and other professionals who work with children and, when shared with both teachers and parents provides and excellent framework for consistency and support between home and classroom or other settings.
Registration:	Required - A $10.00 fee is for anyone living outside Stephenson, Carroll and Jodavies Counties. It is free for those living in these three counties. To register, call Connie Kraft, Parent Mentor at (815) 233-1128.
