Leslie is the parent mentor for Tri-County Special Education and the Academic Development Institute (ADI). She is the mother of two young boys. Her oldest son receives special education services through West Lincoln Broadwell Elementary School, and her youngest receives services at Chester East Lincoln Elementary School. Before Leslie had children and became a stay at home mom, she was a case worker for Catholic Charities. She specialized in children with behavioral, medical and educational needs. Most of her clients received special education services, and she always tried to attend their IEP meetings and help with other support services. She has had a lot of experience supporting parents and children, and now has experience as a parent receiving special services.

She plans to utilize community resources available, as well as those in the school system to help families understand the process and receive help for their children. She hopes to provide encouragement and help in creating a support system that helps families feel confident that their child's needs are being met. She is very excited to have the opportunity to help families in any way she can.
