I have raised two children through the special education program. My daughter had learning disabilities and my son had a total of 15 different diagnosis from 12 different specialists. I read and learned a lot over the years. Emotional disorder seems to most accurately describe what he experienced in school. We also have a lot of experience in what it means to a child to be adopted and how it can affect their learning along with cultural issues. I’m glad to say they both made it through and I am anxious to share what I have learned in order to make the process more manageable for families.
