Four hot topics will be provided over the course of the school year. Plenty of dates to choose from and locations near your district. Teams will take information and material back to their schools for training and coaching staff on practices that assist them with educating students with disabilities in general education.

This training will provide participants with information about how adaptations increase opportunities for all students, including those with disabilities, to access the general education curriculum in inclusive classrooms. Participants will learn both universal and secondary/targeted processes for adapting the curriculum using the 8 types of adaptations so that teachers can reach all learners. The differences between accommodations and modifications (types of adaptations) will be clarified. Teams will learn many tools and strategies to adapt curriculum that can be implemented immediately. Participants will have time to plan for using these tools and strategies and sharing them with the educators in their buildings.
